The Aggies have competed in the Big 12 Conference since its inception in 1996, and were previously members of the Southwest Conference and Big Eight Conference. The Aggies currently play in the Southeastern Conference as of 2013.
The Men’s basketball team has made 27 total appearances in the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament. Parts of five different seasons have been spent ranked in either the AP Top 25 Poll or Coaches’ Polls (as of the end of the 2012-2013 season).
Baseball
As of the 2019 season, the Texas A&M University baseball team competes in Division I of the NCAA as a member of the SEC West division. The team is currently coached by Rob Childress. The Aggies play their home games at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park. Blue Bell Park has a capacity of 5,000 people.
Track and Field
The Track and Field teams at Texas A&M University are both Division 1 programs that compete in Conference USA. The Men’s team has won Conference USA Outdoor Championships in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015. The Men’s team has also won the Conference USA Indoor Championships in 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013.
