Dr. James L. Dolan
Dr. James L. Dolan is a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He is also a Clinical Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. Dr. Dolan has been in private practice in Lubbock, Texas since 1982. He specializes in sports medicine and knee surgery, and he has a special interest in arthroscopic knee surgery
Dr. Patrick J. McMahon
Dr. Patrick J. McMahon is a board certified and fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee. He has been with Texas Tech Sport Orthopedics since 2008.
Dr. McMahon is a native of Houston, Texas and graduated with honors from the University of Notre Dame. He then attended Baylor College of Medicine where he completed his medical degree and orthopedic surgery residency. Dr. McMahon went on to complete a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Colorado where he worked with the Denver Broncos, Colorado Avalanche, and Colorado Rapids.
Dr. McMahon has authored numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and is a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, Arthroscopy Association of North America, and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Bradley W. Wurdeman
Dr. Bradley W. Wurdeman is the interim Chief of Service for the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC). He also serves as Program Director for the sports medicine fellowship and is an Associate Professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery.
Dr. Wurdeman received his medical degree from Louisiana State University (LSU) Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, LA. He completed his residency training in orthopedic surgery at LSUHSC-Shreveport. Following residency, he went on to complete a fellowship in sports medicine and shoulder surgery at Baylor College of Medicine/The Methodist Hospital in Houston, TX.
Dr. Wurdeman is a member of several professional organizations including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Arthroscopy Association of North America, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery & Orthopaedic Sports Medicine. His clinical interests include arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, knee, elbow and ankle; sports-related injuries; and cartilage restoration procedures such as osteochondral allografts and autologous chondrocyte implantation (ACI).

Our experience
Texas Tech Sport Orthopedics was founded in 1999 by Dr. Ryan J. Nunley. Dr. Nunley is a highly experienced and respected orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine. He is a graduate of the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine and did his residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He is also a member of the American Orthopedic Society for Sports Medicine.
