Improved Mental Health

Exercise in any form can act as a stress reliever. Sports clubs provide a great outlet for students to release any built up tension from academics or other areas of their life. In addition, by being part of a team, students can feel support from their teammates that can boost self-confidence and help reduce anxiety and stress. The social interaction aspect of sport clubs also provides an outlet for students to meet new friends and build relationships. These social connections are important for overall mental health as they can reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation.

Improved Social Life

Most students join sport clubs to improve their social life. Friendships are easily made when students share a common interest in a certain sport. Joining a club also gives students the opportunity to meet new people from all over campus. In addition, attending club meetings and practices help students get to know their teammates on a more personal level.
