Texas State Sport Clubs are a great way to get involved on campus, make new friends, and stay active. There are over 35 different clubs to choose from, so there is sure to be one that fits your interests! Joining a club is a great way to stay fit and have fun at the same time.
Whether you are looking for a competitive or recreational outlet, Texas State Sport Clubs has something for everyone. Some of our most popular clubs include Soccer, Volleyball, Boxing, Rugby, and Lacrosse. We also offer a variety of martial arts clubs such as Karate, Judo, and Aikido.
In addition to club sports, we also offer a variety of fitness classes through our Sports & Fitness program. These classes are open to all students and staff and are a great way to get moving and stay healthy!

Sport Clubs at Texas State are student-organized and operated, and are open to all currently enrolled students. Joining a Sport Club is a great way to get involved on campus, make new friends, and stay active. Sport Clubs are student organizations that promote teamwork, leadership, and citizenship through sport and recreation. Participation in Sport Clubs also provides opportunities for students to enhance their resume and transferable skills.
Joining a Sport Club
Joining a Sport Club at Texas State is a great way to have fun, stay fit, and meet new friends. There are over 60 Sport Clubs to choose from, ranging from Adventure Sports to Yoga, so there is bound to be a club that meets your interests. Once you find a club that you are interested in, the best way to get more information is to attend one of their practices or meetings. This will give you an opportunity to meet the members and learn more about the club.
If you decide that you would like to join the club, most clubs will have a membership fee and may require you purchase additional equipment or gear. The membership fees vary from club to club, but all fees go towards supporting the club (e.g., paying for practice facilities, equipment, tournament entry fees, etc.).
In order to join a Sport Club at Texas State, you must first become a member of the Texas State Intramural Sports Association (TSISA). TSISA membership is $15 per semester for students and $25 per semester for faculty/staff. TSISA membership gives you access to all Sport Clubs as well as other benefits like free admission into home volleyball games and discounted tickets to select Bobcat athletic events.To join TSISA, click on the link below:
