Football
It’s a big week for Texas sports with several key games taking place. In football, the Longhorns take on TCU in a critical conference matchup. The winner of this game will stay in the hunt for a spot in the Big 12 Championship game. Meanwhile, the Aggies take on Mississippi State in a must-win game if they want to keep their slim playoff hopes alive. In basketball, the Longhorns will look to continue their hot start to the season as they take on Duke in the Big 12-ACC Challenge.
High school
High school football is a Friday night tradition in many Texas towns. With the season underway, here are some of the top games to watch this week:
-Argyle vs. Celina: Argyle, the defending state champions in Class 4A Division I, will take on Celina, which is coming off a state semifinal appearance in 3A Division II. This will be a rematch of last year’s game, which Argyle won 35-28.
-Hutto vs. Georgetown: Hutto, which made it to the state semifinals in 5A Division I last year, will take on Georgetown, which made it to the state quarterfinals in 4A Division II. Georgetown won last year’s meeting between these two teams 28-14.
-Longview vs. Marshall: Longview, one of the top teams in Class 6A, will take on Marshall, which made it to the state quarterfinals in 5A Division I last year. These two teams have a long history dating back to their days in the old East Texas League, and this should be a close game.
College
The college football season is in full swing, and there are plenty of games to choose from this week. If you’re looking for a big game, there are several rivalry games on tap, including the Red River Rivalry between Texas and Oklahoma.
There are also several ranked teams in action this week, including No. 2 Alabama, No. 3 Georgia, No. 4 Clemson and No. 5 Ohio State.
So whether you’re looking for a big game or just a good game to watch, here are some of the best college football games to watch this week:

Professional
The National Football League (NFL) is the highest level of professional football in the United States. It was formed in 1920 as the American Professional Football Association (APFA) before renaming itself the NFL in 1922. The NFL consists of 32 teams, divided equally between the National Football Conference (NFC) and the American Football Conference (AFC). The NFL playoffs are held at the end of each season to determine which team will be crowned as the Super Bowl champion.
The NFL regular season runs from September to December, with each team playing 16 games. The top six teams from each conference then qualify for the playoffs, which are held in January. The Super Bowl is usually held in February.
Basketball
The week of February 15th holds some interesting games for Texas basketball fans. On Tuesday, the Houston Rockets take on the Golden State Warriors. This will be a good game to watch because the Rockets are one of the best teams in the NBA and the Warriors are one of the best teams in the Western Conference. On Wednesday, the San Antonio Spurs play the Dallas Mavericks. This should be a good game because the Spurs are a good team and the Mavericks are a good team.

The high school basketball season is in full swing, and there are plenty of great games to watch this week. Here are some of the top matchups:

College
The college basketball season will be in full swing this week with some big games on the schedule. Here are a few of the most intriguing match-ups:
Texas A&M vs. LSU
Two of the best teams in the SEC go head-to-head on Wednesday night in Baton Rouge. Texas A&M is coming off a big win over then-ranked Florida, while LSU is coming off a close loss to Tennessee. This should be a good game between two talented teams.
Oklahoma vs. Kansas
These two traditional powers meet on Saturday in Lawrence in what should be a battle for first place in the Big 12. Oklahoma is coming off a solid win over Iowa State, while Kansas is coming off a close loss to West Virginia. This should be a great game between two of the best teams in the conference.
Professional
The National Basketball Association is the premier professional basketball league in the United States and Canada. Comprising 30 teams, the NBA is one of the four major professional sports leagues in North America. The league was founded in 1946 as the Basketball Association of America, and adopted its current name in 1949 when it merged with the National Basketball League.
The NBA Finals is the league’s championship series played between the Western and Eastern Conference champions. The winner of the NBA Finals receives the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy, which debuted in 1977. Prior to 1949, the winning team received the Metropolitan Trophy.
The NBA season runs from October to April, with each team playing 82 games. After the regular season, eight teams from each conference (16 total) advance to the playoffs. The playoff format consists of four rounds of best-of-seven series.

High school
It’s a busy week for Texas high school sports, with basketball and soccer playoffs in full swing.
In basketball, the boys’ state tournament continues this week, with the semifinals on Thursday and the finals on Saturday. On the girls’ side, the state tournament also continues this week, with the semifinals on Friday and the finals on Saturday.
In soccer, the boys’ and girls’ state tournaments are both underway. The boys’ semifinals will be played on Friday, with the finals on Saturday. The girls’ semifinals will be played on Thursday, with the finals on Friday.
College
In college this week, there are a few key match-ups to watch for.
-On Thursday, the #24 Texas Longhorns take on the TCU Horned Frogs.
-On Friday, the Baylor Bears play the Oklahoma Sooners.
-And on Saturday, the Texas A&M Aggies take on the Ole Miss Rebels.
