While the team mainly struggled in their first decade of existence winning only two division games and no playoff games, they clinched their first playoff berth during the 2011 season as AFC South division champions. They also advanced to the AFC Championship game for the first time in franchise history during the 2012 playoffs.
The bull logo was selected through a fan vote held in 2000 while the franchise was still being determined. It was one of three finalists out of a total of thirteen suggestions.
