our company was founded in 1986 by two high school friends, Robert LaRaye and Michael Hayden. We started out small, working out of a garage in Austin, Texas, and selling custom-made car seats to local auto upholstery shops. In the early 1990s, we began manufacturing a line of aftermarket car seats under the Tex Sport brand name. These seats were sold through a network of regional distributors.
