The following information is designed to help you prepare for your first appointment. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact our office.
What to Expect
We understand how daunting it can be as a new patient to come into a new office, which is why our staff does everything possible to ensure that your visit is as smooth and stress-free as possible. We want you to feel comfortable and like you are part of our family.
Before your appointment, we will send you paperwork to fill out so that we can learn more about your medical history and what brings you in to see us. We also request that you bring in any previous imaging studies or reports so that our doctors can review them prior to your appointment.
When you come in for your appointment, you will first check in at the front desk where our friendly staff will collect your insurance information and copayment. You will then be taken back to one of our exam rooms where a nurse or medical assistant will take your vital signs and collect additional information about your health history and current symptoms.
You will then meet with one of our orthopaedic surgeons who will perform a physical examination, review your imaging studies (if applicable) and discuss treatment options with you. Depending on the reason for your visit, we may also recommend additional testing such as X-rays, an MRI or blood work.
After your appointment, our team will work with you to schedule any additional testing that is needed and develop a treatment plan that is tailored specifically for you. We always take the time to answer any questions or concerns that you may have so that you feel confident and comfortable with the next steps in your care.
