Texas Motor Sport is gearing up for its annual Houston show, and this year’s event is sure to be a scorcher!
With temperatures expected to reach the mid-90s, spectators and drivers alike will be feeling the heat. But that won’t stop the hard-charging competitors from putting on a great show.
Over 150 cars and trucks are expected to compete in the event, which features classes for everything from dragsters and Funny Cars to Pro Stock and Pro Mod. There will also be a special class for nostalgia Funny Cars.

The Future of Texas Motor Sport
As the popularity of racing continues to grow in the United States, so does the need for new and innovative tracks. Texas Motor Sport brings the heat to Houston with their cutting-edge facility, which is sure to be a favorite among drivers and fans alike.
The track, which is set to open in 2019, is located just outside of downtown Houston and will feature a 1.5-mile oval with 24 degrees of banking in the turns. This will allow for high speeds and plenty of passing, making for an exciting show for race fans.
In addition to the oval, the track will also have a 2-mile road course that will challenge even the most experienced drivers. The road course will have 12 turns and will be available for both racing and testing.
With its convenient location and state-of-the-art facilities, Texas Motor Sport is sure to be a major player in the world of motorsports for years to come.
