Sport Pilot Central Texas is your one stop shop for everything sport pilot related. We are located at Hangar 5D at the San Marcos Municipal Airport (HYI) and are open Monday through Saturday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
We offer a wide range of services including flight training, aircraft rental, and maintenance. We also have a full service avionics shop on site.Whether you are just getting started in your sport pilot journey or you are an experienced pilot, we can help you with all of your needs.

We offer ground school classes taught by certified instructors. Our classes are designed to give you the knowledge you need to be a safe and competent pilot. We offer both private and group lessons, so you can choose the option that best fits your needs.
We also offer flight training in our rental aircraft. Our aircraft are well-maintained and ready to fly. We have a variety of options available, so you can find the perfect plane for your needs. We also offer simulator training for those who want to get the most out of their training.

Training
Our goal is to provide you with the best possible training in the most efficient and enjoyable manner.
We will tailor a training program that is specifically designed for you and your aircraft. All of our instruction is provided in a two-seat, high-wing Cessna 172, however, if you have another type of aircraft we can accommodate your training in that as well.
We are located at San Marcos Municipal Airport (HYI), which is about 30 miles south of Austin, Texas. The airport has two paved runways, one 5,000 feet long and the other 3,900 feet long.
