Dr. James B. Maas
Dr. James B. Maas is double board certified in both Anesthesiology as well as Pain Management. He specializes in comprehensive pain management with a focus on minimally invasive interventional pain management procedures. Dr. Maas attended Baylor College of Medicine where he completed his residency in Anesthesiology and Fellowship in Interventional Pain Management.
After completing his training, Dr. Maas was recruited to head up the pain management program at Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, San Antonio, Texas where he served for over 6 years. While at BAMC, he was an Assistant Professor at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences, F Edward Hebert School of Medicine where he taught resident physicians and medical students.
During his tenure at Brooke Army Medical Center, Dr. Maas was instrumental in establishing and growing the Interventional Pain Management program which is now one of the largest and most comprehensive programs in the Department of Defense.
Dr. Kristin A. Maas
Dr. Kristin A. Maas specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of sports and spinal injuries. She has been in practice for over 20 years and is a board certified orthopedic surgeon. Dr. Maas received her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and completed her residency at the same institution. She is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, and the Texas Orthopedic Association.

What to Expect
If you are a new patient, the first thing you can expect is a warm welcome from our staff. We will uodate your paperwork and get some basic information from you. We understand that dealing with pain can be frustrating, and our goal is to help you find relief as soon as possible.
Next, one of our providers will sit down with you to discuss your symptoms, medical history, and treatment goals. This initial consultation is important in order to develop a personalized treatment plan that is right for you. We may also order additional testing, such as x-rays or lab work, at this time.
Once we have all of the information we need, we will create a customized treatment plan for you. This may include a combination of different therapies, such as chiropractic care, physical therapy, and massage therapy. We will also provide you with at-home exercises and stretches that can help reduce pain and promote healing.
