It’s important to be able to communicate effectively with the people you’re representing.”

Walker says that his ability to build relationships and communicate with others is one of the reasons he was successful as an athlete, and it’s something he looks for when hiring new A&M Sport Management employees.

“I want to make sure that our team has a balance of skills,” Walker says. “On-field skills are obviously important, but I also want people who understand the importance of off-field skills like communication and relationship building.”
