The Lubbock Crickets are a semi-professional baseball team in Lubbock, Texas. The Crickets are a member of the Southwestern Baseball League and play their home games at Hoskins Field. The team was founded in 2013 and has won one league championship.

The Pioneers compete as a member of the Sooner Athletic Conference. Wayland Baptist has been a member of the SAC since 1999. The university also competes as an Independent in wrestling.

The Lubbock Lightning is a semi-professional basketball team based in Lubbock, Texas. The Lightning compete in the Texas Basketball Association (TBA).
