Soccer
Lubbock Soccer Association
The Lubbock Soccer Association (LSA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, all-volunteer organization that has been promoting the sport of soccer in the South Plains since 1978. The LSA strives to provide an opportunity for every child in Lubbock, Texas to experience the benefits of playing soccer in a safe and positive environment. We are dedicated to developing character, teamwork, and sportsmanship while teaching basic soccer skills.
The LSA is pleased to offer the following programs:
-Recreational Soccer: Boys and girls age 4-18 years old can participate in our recreational program which runs from August through May each year. Recreational soccer is a great way to learn and enjoy the game of soccer without the time commitment or expense of travel involved in other programs. teams are formed based on age and ability level, with games played primarily on Saturday mornings at Maxey Park or Raider Ranch fields.
-Challenger Soccer Camps: These week-long camps are open to all players age 5-14 years old and are held throughout the summer months at Maxey Park. The camps provide an opportunity for players to improve their skills in a fun and challenging environment.
-Select Soccer: Our select program provides an opportunity for advanced players age 11-18 years old to compete at a higher level of play than recreational soccer. teams are formed based on tryouts held each spring, with games played from September through May each year. Select teams typically practice two nights per week and play one game per weekend (on Saturday or Sunday). Home games are played at Sudan Recreation Complex, while away games may require travel throughout West Texas and eastern New Mexico
Texas Tech Soccer
Texas Tech Soccer is a club soccer team that provides an opportunity for young children in Lubbock, Texas to play the sport. The team is open to children aged 5-12 and practices twice a week. Games are typically held on Saturdays.
Baseball

Lubbock Little League
Lubbock’s Little League offers Tee Ball, Baseball, and Softball for children aged 4-16. Children can participate in programs such as 5 year old Tee Ball, 7-8 year old Baseball, 9-10 year old Baseball, 11-12 year old Baseball, 13-16 year old Junior Baseball. Softball divisions are also offered for children aged 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, and 13-14. There is also a Fall Ball program that runs from September to October for Baseball and Softball division aged 7-12.
Texas Tech Baseball
Texas Tech baseball is a Division I college baseball program that competes in the Big 12 Conference. The Red Raiders have made 27 NCAA tournament appearances and have won 12 conference championships. Texas Tech has also produced 30 Major League Baseball players, including All-Stars Josh Hamilton and Chris Heston. The Red Raiders play their home games at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park, located on the Texas Tech University campus in Lubbock, Texas.

Lubbock Youth Football
In Lubbock, Texas, 5 year olds have the opportunity to play football through the Lubbock Youth Football organization. Lubbock Youth Football offers three different divisions for 5 year olds to play in. The Mighty Mite division is for 5 and 6 year olds who are 80 pounds or less. The Jr. Pee Wee division is for 7 and 8 year olds who are 100 pounds or less. The Pee Wee division is for 9 and 10 year olds who are 120 pounds or less. All of these divisions play flag football, which means that instead of tackle, the players wear flags attached to their belts that the opposing team tries to remove. Lubbock Youth Football also offers cheerleading for those not interested in playing football.
Texas Tech Football
Texas Tech University’s Football team represents the school in the NCAA Division I Big 12 Conference. The current head coach is Matt Wells, who was hired on November 29, 2018. The team plays its home games at Jones AT&T Stadium on the university’s campus in Lubbock, Texas.
