Meant to go back in and edit my ballot for this week, but once I clicked submit, there was no turning back. Wanted to flip Northern Iowa and North Dakota State, but other than that, I was pleased with it.

College Football: How Mayforth Voted in the FCS Top 25 (Week 12)

There is a new sheriff in town and his name is Sam Houston State. After North Dakota State lost to Youngstown State, the Bearkats moved into the No. 1 spot in my ballot, with Montana State taking Sam Houston State’s old spot at No. 2.

Central Arkansas was the big mover, climbing four places to No. 13 after claiming its seventh consecutive win last Saturday. The Bears beat Texas State, 23-22.

College Football: Texas State Nearly Cracks FCS Top 25

Some thought Texas State would be a shoo-in for The Sports Network FCS Top 25 poll after winning its fifth consecutive game. Well, the current poll was released this morning and the Bobcats are the first-team out.

Texas State leads all teams in the “also receiving votes” category, garnering 217 points. The Bobcats needed 478 points to crack the Top 25.
