College Football: A new logo arrives

Workers at Bobcat Stadium put in the Sun Belt Conference logo.

Out with the old, in with the new.

Workers at Bobcat Stadium removed the Western Athletic Conference logo and prepared the Sun Belt Conference logo for installation Tuesday morning.

Better late than never, right? Texas State opens the 2013 season Aug. 31 with its home opener against Prairie View A&M set for a week later.

Adorning the logo on the field was delayed since both FieldTurf and the company that makes the logo were backed up due to pre-existing orders. Full fields take precedence over individual logos.

Will they still hold this evening’s practice at the stadium? If so, does it start at 6:15?

    • Practice does start at 6:15 p.m. As far as where it will be held, I am not sure. They change location on a moment’s notice, so if you come out, just look inside the stadium and if they aren’t there, head to the practice field.
