College Football: Game Day (San Jose State Edition)

SAN JOSE — Texas State looks to stay undefeated in the Western Athletic Conference when it takes on San Jose State this afternoon. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. CST inside Spartan Stadium.

In their WAC opener, the Bobcats handled Idaho by a score of 38-7. Texas State never led the Vandals in the game as it rushed for 337 yards and four touchdowns.

Now, the Bobcats face a tougher challenge in the Spartans. SJSU is 5-2 and 1-1 in the WAC following last week’s drubbing of UTSA.

Texas State’s pass defense will be tested, as the Spartans like to air it out. SJSU quarterback David Fales is the second most-accurate passer in the nation behind West Virginia’s Geno Smith.
