College Football: Second-half woes

Texas State hasn’t fared too well in the second half.

Through four games, the Bobcats have been outscored 57-17 after halftime. In games with opponents from the Football Bowl Subdivision, Texas State has only scored three points, while allowing 35.

Take a look at the chart below, detailing the Bobcats’ offensive output in the second half of each game.

Texas State is 2-2 entering Saturday’s game at New Mexico. To wit, the Lobos scored 29 points in the second half of last Saturday’s 32-29 loss to Boise State.

One Response to College Football: Second-half woes

honestly, i use to want arndt to start at qb but rutherford has grown on me. i dont think hes the problem.. hes ran well, his arm has looked decent and hes been accurate. i think our two biggest problems are pass rushing(we seem to get absolutely no pressure on opposing qbs) and inconsistent play calling in the second half. the coachs seem to stop calling plays to win the game and start calling plays to not lose the game..
