Texas State sophomore cornerback Craig Mager said it best after Wednesday’s practice.
“This is definitely a redemption game,” Mager said. “It will be nice to make a couple of big plays at the start of the game, just so that I know I’ve been here and done this.”
While Mager spoke more about himself after his play two weeks ago against Texas Tech, his words echo through to the rest of the team. Mager — and the rest of the Bobcats — didn’t look good in the home opener, as they were pasted by the Red Raiders, 58-10.
Texas State gets an opportunity to wash that taste out of its mouth tonight when it hosts Stephen F. Austin. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. inside Bobcat Stadium.
Coming into tonight’s game, the Bobcats own a five-game winning streak over the Lumberjacks. Can Texas State make it six?
Check back throughout the day.
