Former Texas State slugger Paul Goldschmidt doesn’t have great career numbers against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Coming into Sunday’s tilt, Goldschmidt only hit at a .206 clip with two RBI in those divisional games.
Those numbers got a hefty hike after Sunday’s game in Phoenix. Goldschmidt went 2-for-3 with his 12th home run of the season and tied a career high with four RBI.
Prior to his home run against the Dodgers, Goldschmidt hadn’t belted one since June 29. Goldschmidt now has 12 home runs to go along with 42 RBI and a .302 average.
