MLB: Goldschmidt Tracker (Part XIX)

Another day, another home run clubbed by former Texas State slugger Paul Goldschmidt.

Goldschmidt belted his 11th home run of the season Friday night, as the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the Milwaukee Brewers, 9-3. His long ball, a three-run shot, came in the third inning off Milwaukee starting pitcher Randy Wolf.

Not only did Goldschmidt homer, but he also doubled twice and fell a triple shy of the cycle. Goldschmidt collected a double in the second, home run in the third, single in the fifth, walked in the seventh, then laced a ball down the line in the ninth, which could have rolled into the corner, but a fan touched it on the way.

If Goldschmidt completed the cycle, it would have been the second one hit in the game by Arizona. Earlier in the game, Aaron Hill finished his second cycle of the season with a triple to right-center field.
