Last Friday, Texas State senior Chandler Hall capped a perfect conference record in the regular season when she pitched the Bobcats past Sam Houston State. Hall improved to 11-0 with a 0.71 earned-run average. With the win, Texas State also clinched its fourth regular-season title in the last five years.
Today, Hall was honored by the Southland Conference with its Pitcher of the Year and Player of the Year honors. Hall becomes just the seventh player in SLC history, of which three are Bobcats (Hall, Ragan Blake and Katie Ann Trahan) to accomplish that feat.
Hall was the only player from Texas State on the first team, while four earned second-team marks and one got a third-team nod.
