College Baseball: Record-setting night

Texas State sports fans, it seems as if the baseball team has some solid arms.

The Bobcats posted their third consecutive shutout Friday night, knocking off Notre Dame, 6-0. Texas State extended its scoreless streak to 32 innings with the win.

Junior pitcher Colton Turner threw 6 2/3 innings, struck out six, walked four and scattered seven hits. Turner picked up his first win of the season and lowered his earned-run average to 0.44.

Also, the fourth-largest crowd in school history witnessed the game, as 1,882 fans walked through the turnstiles.
